The republicans take their own faults and accuse the opposition of having them. The term is "projection" -- they project thier own faults onto others.
That is, the repugs were angry so they accused the Democrats of being angry.
The repugs are weak on security, so they accuse the Democrats of being weak on security.
The repugs are corrupt, so they accuse the Dems of being corrupt.
In '04 campaign, Cheney was unethincal and had no moral compass, and he accused John Kerry of being unethical and lacking moral compass.
Bush shirked his responsibilities during the vietman war and abandoned his unit, so Bush supporters painted Kerry the war hero as shirking his responsibilities in the vietnam war.
AND ON AND ON AND ON. Anytime a Republican makes a claim about thier opponent, they are really talking abou themselves.
Happily dems are more honest. They don't accuse others of faults they have.
