..., you realize there are a lot of klunkers out there but there are some good ones. For instance, Pete DeFazio- a congressman from my state- is incredible. He's in the minority though, but I'm not abused by the notion that they're all bad. How is it possible to leave the gravity well of apathy if on believes that? I guess my experience agrees mostly with your observations though.

is to get angry, to let them know you know they are liars, and to make it plain and clear that "we won't be fooled again".
