2. Wow!
That is beautiful. I wasn't there, but judging from what I've heard and seen from others, this really conveys the spirit of the march. :) Very powerful! K&R. :kick:

8. Yes that is the same man
I understand Lex's not wanting to approach him. He said all he needed to by just being there.

10. As a resident of the 13th colony and in part, a 13th generational american. . .
Edited on Sun Jan-28-07 02:35 PM by stellanoir
This photo moved me nearly beyond words. (like that could ever really happen.)

As we all know, the cornerstone of our country coalesced around the Constitution, the bill of rights, the rule of law, and our voting rights, as conceptualized by those 13 colonies represented by those tattered and frayed stripes.

Yet the Union (the white stars on the blue field) remains though stripped on nearly half of those fundamental rights and liberties
established by the vision of our founders.

It sorta goes without saying that this is amazingly powerful symbolism.

It's probably a good omen for the potential rectification of the ruse and imbalances of the Blue/Red divisiveness.

I'm wondering what Betsy would say. . . ?

thanks for posting and K & R'd

a purple lady.

12. THAT is one amazing photograph ...
And you're right, cynatnite ... it DOES capture the heart of the matter.

Congratulations to all who marched, and all who shared the event so beautifully with their photos.

And thank you, Lex, for an absolute masterpiece of photographic artistry.

Not only kicked and Recommended - but bookmarked for posterity.
