1. The results worry me a bit.
85 yes, 43 no.

It worries me because Hillary doesn't seem to excite the Democrats in the way I would hope, especially since she'll definitely rally the GOP base.

Personally, I don't think she'll win the nomination. I'd vote for her if she did though.

But we'll see...

Interest poll/discussion/results AK!!

2. depends
if my state is looking close, then yes. If it is a steal for her, I am voting third party. God I wish we had IRV voting.

3. Don't fret. DU doesn't come close to representing
Democrats as a whole. Remember how Kerry had virtually no support in the primaries here in '04?

4. The problem with a Poll type post...
It is anonymous...I think alot just hate Hillary so much they will say no on a post where they aren't identified...

If the results so far are accurate then there are a significant number of non-Democrats on this board!

5. But lurking Republicans are most likely to vote "yes" b/c they want us to nominate Clinton
Of course it's a fool's errand to try and read these results either way. There's a reason why polls like this are called unscientific... it's because their data is neither reliable nor valid. Some reluctant Clinton voters will say no in hopes of swaying expectations. Others who oppose any Democrat but also think Clinton is particularly sinkable will vote "yes" just to bolster her candidacy. You cant' read anything reliable or worth being concerned about in polls like this; they're meaningless.

6. Well I don't think there are that many lurkers...
I simply think these are folks here who despise Hillary so much they just can't bring themselves to in any way affirm her...and it is especially easy to do this in an anonymous poll...

But yes, you are right this is meaningless as a true measure of what her actual support would be should she be the nominee
