Is Hillary as the nominee really inevitable?

While Hillary may be the front-runner, I don't think that she is guaranteed the nomination on a silver platter. While the Republicans usually follow the "it's my turn" rule and anoint their nominee, we Democrats like upstarts. People like Kennedy, McGovern, Carter, (Bill) Clinton, and Dean were not originally expected to be our nominee, but broke through because they ran superior campaigns, and were seen as authentic.

The media want a Guiliani-Hillary rematch. They definitely want Hillary so they can wallow in old Monica garbage again.

Fresh faces and fresh ideas. That is the only way the real issues of this nation will be addressed.

Senator Clinton is coasting on high name recognition. This fall, when the race starts to heat up, you'll see her weak and ill-informed supporters drift to other candidates and start to give the false impression that she is faltering. In fact, what she'll be doing is sloughing off weak support while slowly picking up more committed supporters. Still, she'd poised to be this year's Gary Hart, this year's Dick Gephardt.

Her key strength as a candidate is the perception that she's the inevitable nominee. Once that goes, she's just another senator.

It seems that the main argument against her is, "Its what the right wants," which is pathetic reason to be against someone. The democrats lost several elections because they were worried what the right would do or think. The republicans who are obsessed with Hillary will never vote for a democrat for president so its useless worrying what they think. I also believe that many DUers don't like the thought of a strong woman as a presidential candidate, though they won't ever admit it.
