With the help of the DU Takebackthemedia.com kicked Limbaugh's ASS - wanna go another round?

With the Help of the DU Takebackthemedia.com KICKED LIMBAUGH'S ASS a few years ago.. within days I was on both O'Reilly's show AND Scarboroughs SHOWS, while they made nervous sounds about not having any effect. If it was having NO EFFECT, what was I on their DAMN SHOW FOR?

The Advertisers were fleeing like scalded DOGS from Limbaugh, some within the SAME AFTERNOON WE STARTED THE Boycott :)

That Punk Byon York (See below) has mentioned me too many times not to give him SOME MORE, make his dreams come TRUE, and FIGHT for The Fairness Doctrine, this time for KEEPS.

I'm damned near ready to do it AGAIN, got my book written (all I've been doing for a few years now), and so maybe it's time to make Takebackthemedia.com a FORCE again, and give that PIMPLE another KICK?

Anyone interested? Who's with ME?

York's colleague at the National Review, radio host Mark Levin, wrote a post in which he said that "there is now a campaign underway ... to force conservative talk show hosts from radio ... It appears we have a rather sleazy effort afoot to silence the one broadcast venue the Left can't control." Attributing this effort to liberal media watchdog Media Matters, Levin linked to conservative blog Sweetness & Light -- Sweetness & Light, which wrote that Media Matters president and CEO David Brock "jumps on any chance to try to control free speech in this country." It added that "if Media Matters has its way the only people who will be allowed to use the public airwaves will be Messrs. Brock, Soros, Chomsky, Ms. Hillary Clinton and other officially approved Democrats." On NewsBusters, the blog of conservative media watchdog Media Research Center, Dan Riehl wondered, "Does Get-Imus movement foretell Fairness Doctrine reinstatement?"

8. Yep, just sent it off to the Agency today

That represented Shantaram (Johnny Depp bought those movie rights), and Big Fish (Another film), among other things - seems to me like a perfect fit :)

Also have some Hollywood pals close to reading it, so that's another direction to go, get the film rights, if possible off the table, then ask for more when a Publisher decides, "Hey, it's going to be a Movie, let's PAY the man.."

For now I've had 20 copies made, cover and all (600 page monster, but a LOT of FUN, and bear attacks, lynched by a village in the tundra, etc), at LULU.com where they do a KILLER JOB, Better than I thought it would be, as you can tell by the cover pic below (if it shows), there's a lot of colors in there, my Dreamcicle :)

I'm SO HAPPY to be done with it, five years in the writing, and head down editing for the last year, total stress, couldn't do much activism, and be nice to my pals here...

So WISH me Luck, I keep seeing signs everywhere, getting gobsmacked by the universe with them, more obvious all the time, and I LOVE IT, this baby is gonna FLY. Can't wait to be able to offer it to all my pals here on the DU. Thanks for asking!

Meanwhile, gotta have a 100 folks or so ready to go after the Pustule, or it's a waste. Too bad about those poor folks that got wasted today, shows how SAFE we ARE with GONZO and BUSH protecting us, eh?

As for the Fairness Doctrine, people did well under it and to use the conservative approach, "why wouldn't they want it, do they have something to hide?"

Well yes, they have plenty to hide. No one is perfect, and we all have things we'd like to keep hidden from public scrutiny, but when the public is your market, what else do you have, you've got to keep the lies going, and you don't want to be exposed. The FD would place these people in a tidal wave of fecal matter, they would be exposed for the frauds they are, and would never be believed again.

We here on DU, and other liberal/progressive sites, have known for years there is no "liberal media, it is dominated by conservatives. There are a few outlets for progressive thoughts, but the screech monkeys batter them down whenever someone says something against their ideology.I've been fighting these lunatics for a long time, I'm not tired, and I fight them whenever I get the chance, trying to bring the light of truth to those who have been blinded by the Right.

I have found that once someone hears an alternative to the neo-con sound bites, they generally think it is something that is worth investigating. But when all you hear is the constant blather of the RW, you tend to go brain dead.

Keep up the good work, and fight the good fight, we will win, and no matter how hard they try to distort things, we need to strighten the lies out and call them on them whenever and wherever we can.

I'm always up for a little subversion. And it's nice to see your alias again. I hadn't been to DU in several years; just rejoined the fold a couple of months ago. But I remember you were always one of the doers, rather that the pontificators (which is usually my best shot).

So yeah, let's go after the vile fat ass. And Boortz, Beck, O'Reilly, Savage (or "Sewage" as I prefer), and especially Coulter, who could easily be indicted as an accessory before the fact for any of the wave of attacks on immigrants -- particularly Mexican and Middle Eastern, gays, women and the, all-inclusive list of every single group that isn't white male redneck reactionaries.
