I just saw Pan's Labyrinth.
And it made me realize, What price are we going to have to pay for all the suffering we've inflicted upon the world? For all the blathering from the Christian right about God and Divine Law and meteors crashing into Florida because of Gay Day at Disneyland, what are they thinking is going to happen to us because of our hubris and arrogance and death-dealing?

I'm thinking a lot worse than a meteor.

And I know - no one here voted for the Dictator-in-Chief. But I can't say that I've really done everything I can do to stop this madness. And just because we can't see it (until similar situations are shoved in our face at a movie), doesn't mean it isn't happening. Now with Iraq facing a certain genocide/Civil war, we're going to be heaping even more evil upon our own heads.

I fear for our country.

2. The "Christian" Right is one of the worse terrorist organizations around.
I am sick of their extremism. They are an embarrasement to real Christians everywhere.

4. The "reality" part of the movie is about post-Civil war Spain
And the inhumanities meted out during that time. Which I believe will be similar to those meted out in Iraq - regardless of what we do.
