OK. Listen up, Democrats !
Here is our agenda:

First of all, we break up the insurance companies. The public option is only the first step. They must be brought under the same anti-trust laws that other big businesses work under. Congress needs to address their anti-trust exemption.

Second of all, we break up the big banks. The first step in doing that is to pass regulations with teeth. If they are "too big to fail", they threaten all of us. Congress cannot permit the Big Banks to hold our country hostage again.

Last of all, they will fight to the last penny.

1. The Lesson is that we should never allow such a thing as "too big to fail" for bank or corporation.
That such an animal was every allowed to exist is evidence of the lack of regulation and oversight.

3. Too big to fail should automatically be broken up or nationalized
No questions, no debate.

8. Completely agree
There should be no monopolies and no one corporation should be exempt from the laws that govern the others.

9. A freakin' men
Where is Teddy Roosevelt when we need him. On that note, why don't the republicans brag about his accomplishments? Could it be he is the polar opposite of the thugs today? Just asking.

Peace,
Max

10. I'm There!
Next on the list are the Big Box Stores.
Fair Competition legislation that lets Mom & Pop (small locally owned businesses & farms) compete with the Big Boxes on a level playing field.

11. Banks first
Otherwise nothing else will get done since the banks own Congress (and Obama).

12. Since they are so close...
I think national healthcare first - the insurance companies.

13. Better banks first
There is an overwhelming majority in favor of stopping the banks' rampage, and I seriously doubt any actual health care reform is possible while they own the legislature.
