I admit to reading more posts than I write. But, despite my sub-1000 post count, I've been around for 4-5 years. Don't remember precisely when I found DU, but it was a godsend.

Couldn't make it to DC! But I sure wish I could have. When I finish law school (in May) and become licensed I'd like to volunteer to monitor marches, etc. So I have the purest of intentions! :P

Thanks to all of you who made it. I watched on C-SPAN and cheered from my living room.

I am sorry to have missed everyone again. We only had 4 hours before the bus left to go home!

I loved it though! So many passionate people.

My Mom said the news she watched and the 30 second report said thousands were there! And she doesn't watch Faux. We know better. It seemed as if there were way more than 2005 to me.

The freepers were funny. How ignorant and sad they were. Amazing how hard some hold onto their delusions.

After 4 hours of walking my cast weighed about 100#, lol. Watched the cops on motorcycles trying to incite some anarchists?, I think, near the Reflecting Pool, at least it seemed strange. Suddenly the group headed toward the Pool with cops all over. They were doing nothing except loudly protesting. I had to move fast to get my hobbling self out of the way!

I wanted so much to meet you, Beth, et al. I am determined that the next time I am staying the full weekend. I actually saw the DU banner from a distance, but couldn't catch up. :(

24. I did look for you, vickiss, and am sorry we missed each other.

I told my roomies to look, also, for the lady in a cast with a blue cane with stars on it! but the march got a bit big.
RE: those 'anarchists', they weren't anything of the sort, or so my roomies say. Snot-nosed kids trying to be cool when the march was over. Obstructing traffic? Whatever. I'm glad nothing came of their actions. There were zero arrests, with all those people, 1/2 a million from what I hear.

I came to DU back in 94' and lurked for about five minutes then absolutely HAD to throw in my two cents. So, I lurked for about five minutes total.


Sometimes I go on lerking binges and don't post for several weeks then some weekends I end up on DU for like 10 hours. Thats what happened this weekend for some reason. Probably got caught up in some of the Edwards threads.

were sent to the great by and by. Some of you remember how long ago that was. Like Opi and Hubert Flotz. You can see that my post count just can't seem to get above 800. Oh, well. That doesn't mean that I don't check in several times a day. I had to take breaks to work in two campaigns, get on the central committee, design and build a house, move, and now landscape.

(Ain't tellin' anyone the size...cuz I think it may indeed matter to some.) :)

Guess I do lurk...but that's not the way it feels.
