Schumer: Predicts Shockwave to WH-With Possible Majority of REPUBLICANS To Condemn Surge
Congress is due to vote in early February on a non-binding motion criticizing the surge in troops, with Democrats and Republicans moving to prepare other draft resolutions even as the violence in Iraq claimed more lives with at least 61 killed across the country on Sunday.

Democratic Senator Charles Schumer predicted a large number of lawmakers in Bush's Republican Party -- possibly "even a majority" -- would support the resolution condemning the proposed deployment.

"And that will send shockwaves through the White House and through the country," Schumer told NBC.

4. "Shockwaves" ?
I am happy everybody is coming around, but it needs to be a bit firmer than a "shockwave". Ol' monkeybutt needs to fear for his neck. He's made it clear he doesn't care what ANYBODY thinks. His spoiled little ass needs the beatin' his daddy never gave him.

10. Eventually, I think.
It looks to me that they are slow-walking this, taking an incremental approach to tightening down the screws on the bozos, so they make sure that they get them ALL tightened and their butts are covered?

And why should they want to cover their butts? Are they that craven ans self-interested?

Oh sure, some of them are, but I think it's more attributable to the possibility that they will have to go nose to nose with these jerkoffs and when they do, they will have them painted into the mother of all corners with preparation and process.

Process is very important in government.

12. More than anything, an elected representative wants to keep his job.
And who's betting that, two Novembers from now, bush's popularity will be so high they'll want to associate with him?

Certainly not the Republicans.

13. Not so sure.
Sen Richard Lugar today said he was sticking with our gReat lEader on continuing the killing in Bushaquia forever. I had hopes he would come to his senses, but it seems party loyalty trumps all crimes. I'm now sorry I crossed over and voted for you Dick!
