I just ripped a round political sticky off my old suede coat and
the glue remains.
Any glue removal hints off of suede?

3. I thought so, too, until I googled it...
Unfortunately, GooGone can't be used on leather or suede.

Try this:

Remove Adhesive Tape Stains From:
Suede

Carefully pick off as much excess as possible with your fingertips. Gently rub an artgum eraser over the remaining gummy substance. If that doesn't work, cautiously rub the spot with an emery board or very fine (grade 6/0-8/0) sandpaper. You are attempting to remove a fine layer of the suede, so work carefully.

12. Yeah, that's pretty much the only way to do it
A shoe repair shop will have those little suede eraser thingies. They actually work pretty well.

I WILL have lots more if necessary! Hopefully not more coats, because I predict it's not going to take all that long.

4. Try blotting with a cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol
after testing in an inconspicuous spot to be sure the leather dye is colorfast.

Works pretty well.

9. That'd be a badge of courage.
You may hate him, but, sigh, Kerry will help get us out of this shit.
You only offered help on why your coat will never be the same, I ask
that you think about it. ;-) I wish there was someone I could count on now.

11. I dont know about suede, but it works on other stuff...
You could try placing a clean piece of cloth over the spot, and ironing over the cloth with a bit of pressure until the glue starts to stick to the cloth and lift from your coat.

15. Call a dry cleaner tomorrow
they can tell you what to do, or get it off for you. You don't want to risk ruining it further.
