"Eek! That's not what we want our viewers to hear!" Iraqi-American says Iraq was safer under Saddam
Iraqi American rapper TIMZ was an unusual guest on Hannity & Colmes Friday night, 1/26/07. Instead of the usual Happy Iraq scenario portrayed on FOX, TIMZ told an astonished Chuck Norris, subbing for Sean Hannity, that Iraq was safer under Saddam Hussein.

Norris asked TIMZ if he would have liked to live in Iraq when Saddam Hussein was in power “killing thousands upon thousands of your fellow countrymen?”

TIMZ said that when he was in Iraq, it was during Hussein’s reign. “I believe that the country – the state that it is in now – it’s actually more dangerous than when Saddam Hussein was in power. At least people could walk down the street without being afraid of their neighbor killing them. I understand that there was a fear of Saddam Hussein and his reign of terror. Yes, I don’t promote Saddam Hussein and the things that he has done in the past. However, I do believe that it was safer as a region for a regular person like myself to walk down the street and not be afraid of the next person coming up to me and kidnapping me or killing me for no apparent reason."

One could only imagine how Hannity would have handled such FOX News blasphemy. But Norris, it seems, is a far gentler debater. “Yeah but you never know, at any time that they could have come in your house, drug (sic) you out, cut off your hand or whatever. So you never knew for sure if that was gonna happen or not, did you?”

Norris tried to uncover evidence that TIMZ’ family was targeted by Saddam for their Christianity. But TIMZ didn't buy it. “At least when Saddam Hussein was there, he kept some of these extremists down. And again, I’m not promoting Saddam Hussein. I’m just saying it was a bit safer for people like me.”

1. Chuck Norris? THE Chuck Norris? On FAUX ??
So he's a Rethuglican? (Not that I'm surprised, but ... a little nauseous, I guess).

Ugh. :eyes:

7. Oh, he's a huge Republican
I occasionally see an ad he and his trophy wife made for Trinity Broadcasting that pleads to have the Bible taught in public schools.

Yeah, I was disappointed, too.

10. "pleads to have the Bible taught in public schools"
How many people has Chuck killed and crippled on prime time TV in his ignorant movies, in front of America's children?

He did with two jawbones of an asshole!

2. Maybe gentler, but just as stupid
“Yeah but you never know, at any time that they could have come in your house, drug (sic) you out, cut off your hand or whatever. So you never knew for sure if that was gonna happen or not, did you?”

And how exactly is that different from now? Apart from instead of cutting of your hand they drill a hole in your head or just chop it off completely? And if you manage to avoid the extremists there's still the Americans and their gulags to worry about.

Yeah, Chuck, Iraq's a bleeding paradise since Saddam's gone.

5. Nah ... it's much safer now ... instead of dragging YOU out of your house and
cutting something off, they just drag your pre-teen daughter out in front of you and rape her before your eyes, and then put bullets in the heads of, not only the pre-teen girl, but all of your family except you ...

Does he roundhouse-kick him instead of shutting off his mic?

6. My wife, before she discovered that she really was a liberal, instead
of whatever the opposite is, just LOVED chuck Norris. We had only one TV and no satellite, although there were several available over-the-air-channels, and I would sometimes watch his TV show with her.

Boiled down to ins essence, he was the penultimate winger, with all the attention being on him and no real plot to the programs except for finding someone you don't like, beating the shit out of them and suddenly, until next week, all's right with the world.

Certainly, it's no surprise to find him as a guest host on POX tv, except for the fact that I refuse to find POX nudes at all.

9. Nah, just the last time we'll see TIMZ on Faux
After all, Faux can't allow the truth of the world to disturb their sycophants' pretty little minds.

Another little piece of truth that you'll never hear out of any MSM outlet. Under Saddam, every single household was required by law to have an AK-47 in top working order, and to practice with it. A homegrown militia. That's where a lot of the small arms are coming from now.
