Keith is kicking some a** tonight!
Spanked Gonzo all over the place and now talking about Record Slayers and all of the tapes, blueprints, emails, Bush's military records that are now just missing. Sorry.

Heck we're only 21 minutes in.

1. Now he's going to address NBC's decision to publish the manifesto.
I support NBC's decision. I'm amazed that so many DUers advocate the media sanitizing what it presents us.

5. I don't...
I strongly object to showing the images on tv, online, or anywhere. I find them extremely horribly offensive & of no value at all. It's quite obvious that he was deranged & there are many ways to make that be known, without showing the video & giving him posthumous publicity (as I'm sure he figured he would get).

To me, this is not censorship. This is common sense & decency & respect for the victims, their families, & the world.

Censorship is not letting the media take photos or videos of the caskets arriving at Andrews Air Force base from Iraq & Afghanistan.

7. Then you and I'll have to agree to disagree on this.
Because I don't want other people's values or judgments determining what I can and cannot see.

You find them horribly offensive. I don't.

The thing is, if NBC is broadcasting something you find offensive, you have the right to turn off your tv. But I don't want to be prohibited from seeing unsanitized news just because you have different sensibilities from me. Sometimes the news is horrific. Sometimes it's offensive. Sometimes it's sad.

I'm glad NBC decided to show the videos. Really, everyone should be satisfied....those who want to see it can see it; those who don't can turn it off.

11. I agree with you there.
We have had enough sanitized news for the last six years. I don't find it offensive at all. The only thing I object to is when they latch onto a story and report on it exclusively for days and days. But this is the way I feel regardless of the story. I like variety. I want them to put the flag draped coffins and blown up soldiers on there too. Sometimes this is the only way to have people wake up to the reality of the situation.

12. But they never will...
They haven't yet (and probably won't) show photos from Iraq the show the death & devastation. And you know those photos exist; they're shown around the world. But not here.

So NBC et all are only sensationalizing this horrible tragedy in Virginia and refuse to show the realities of war.

6. Meaning the DOJ just doesn't bother
to have anybody go looking for it.

Typical for an imperial presidency.

8. Those people really need a reminder just who they work for...
US dammit! We're paying their salaries and they serve at OUR pleasure. At least everyone's finally getting a look behind the scenes of this self-perceived imperial president.

9. I am ready to bet they know precisely where the
requested items are, they just don't want to produce them.

This is the most corrupt administration this nation has ever seen.

10. Some background on the Billo stalking incident coming up...
http://www.westword.com/2007-04-19/news/stalk-market/

It seems that a local Denver newspaper media critic Joan Ostrow wrote something about the Billo/Geraldo's spat. Billo sent a news crew to Denver, staked out her home and then followed her to the grocery store and ambush interviewed her.
