I'm not very bright and have DU question

I'm no rookie to DU but haven't been much active after moving my famil 1200 miles this summer and starting a new career in South Florida.

Question...I am logged in but am getting those stupid DU Ad Bot things at the bottom of each thread. I used to only see those if I were not logged in but I am. Can anyone help answer my question?

1. Your donor star expired and you're seeing ads.

3. Have you been a member with a Star in the past? . . .

If so, your membership has lapsed and you now see ads that a Star would block.

The solution is to donate to DU, get your Star back, and be able to turn off many of the most obnoxious ads.

4. Firefox + AdBlock Plus = no bullshit ads

You can also get rid of the ads by donating, of course, but AdBlock Plus works on other sites too, so it's a great thing to have.

stopped working on DU. I think they figured out how to disable it.

8. It's still working for me.

not sure anymore if it's adblock or a related image block thing, but I right click an ad and have the option to forevermore block images from that site. It doesn't take too long before they are all zapped.

13. I have Ad Block plus, Better privacy and no script and don't see them any more.

I also disabled that pesky NP Helper class which allows popups and popunders for those afflicted with them as I was for a few days of agony.

and saw ignored posting in it. Curiosity got the better of me, I switched to another browser where I wasn't logged in. It was grovelbot. :D
