So I bought a cell phone on "cyber monday"....

A near base model Samsung thru Net10 at $39.88...Of course I did it in person at the local Wally World. I've been with Net10 for the past 2 years and little by little my prepaid phone was having my personal info tied to my cell number and my phone coverage ran out yesterday. I wanted to buy the base model Nokia unit at $29.88 that comes with 300 minutes and 60 days included-that's right,a new phone with a new number is 12 cents cheaper than buying an airtime card at retail.Now I'll e-mail family and friends and hopefully cut down on the number of unwanted calls.
They didn't have any of the baselines Nokias and in an emergency I can use it for internet access. Only two things annoyed me...first even when registering the phone online Net10 again tried to gather personal information and second even though my spending $40 has absolutely no connection to "cyber Monday" they'll use my purchase to boost their numbers...
