The Bush administration's sex scandal
Submitted by davidswanson on Fri, 2007-04-20 13:51. Media

By ANN MCFEATTERS, ScrippsNews

What would you think if the president of the world's most powerful bank, after being given the job by the president of the United States, used his influence to get his girlfriend at the bank detailed to the State Department at a salary higher than that of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice?

What would you think if the bank president then went on to say that he wanted the hallmark of his new career to be an all-out fight against global corruption and for good governance while ferreting out irregularities within the bank itself?

What would you say if while this bank president was in his previous job as the No. 2 official at the Defense Department and was advising the U.S. president to go to war in Iraq, the Pentagon sent that same girlfriend, Shaha ali Riza, to Iraq to report on the situation there?

What would you do if you were in the White House while the staff of the bank urged the bank president to resign and he declined, insisting he was sorry and would change his management style (at the age of 63)?

And there you have the nub of the latest Washington scandal.

Certainly, JimmyJeff KNOWS VERY MUCH.

I don't think Bush became a cheerleader to get close to the girls, IYKWIM.

Overnight visits to the White House by a gay prostitute happened?

Why was he there? Scooter? Karl? who?

And to think they spent 7 years and 77 million $s to look into a blow job .....

:grr:

7. An overnight guest in the White House ...
Now just who do you think Jeff was there for?

Even KKKarl Rove wouldn't have set up an assignation for himself there, which leaves only one reasonable suspect.

Oh well. What's the big deal about having a fling with a male prostitute? Obviously nothing, to judge from the corporate media's reaction.

8. I think there are a few sex scandals
1) Jeff Gannon with his 'all access' pass
2) The Wolfowitz girlfiend
3) the marine guy that allegedly got spat on that was really a gay male porn star.
4) Laura's supposed problems with Bush (sure, it was in the Enquirer, but you can damn well be sure that if it was the Clintons, the story would have been headline news on the cable networks!)

9. I know it's trite (though Wolfowitz's mess isn't) but I do wish Dems
would make an issue of some of the instances you mention. If this is what gets the masses salivating, they should use it to their advantage, as repugnant as that sounds to me.

And before I forget, the Foley non-story could also be classified as a sex scandal.

10. Our problem is
that the mainstream media isn't in our pockets...

there is no left of center equivalent of Drudge. No left wing radio show with nearly the reach of Limbaugh, not to mention the next dozen or so babbling bobbleheads on the list (Boortz, Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly, Savage, etc)

2. How else was Wolfie going to get laid?
Have pity for poor Wolfie. How else was the guy going to get laid, if he can't offer fat government contracts and big raises to an employee?
