Murtha went over to Afghanistan earlier this year on a fact finding mission, and the estimates were at least 10 years

If the war cost a mere $1T, here is what we are giving up

1. 16,667 teacher per state for 30 years

or

2. necessary repairs on 70,000 bridges identified by Am Soc of Civ Eng
plus
675,000 teachers for 30 years

or

3. 50 new High Schools per state - each staffed with 260 teachers for 30 years

or

4. 3,400 new hospitals


This has been an expensive undertaking in terms of what we are losing.
