Personal observation about global warming...

Last year on this day we were up to our knees in snow, here in Wisconsin.

Today?

53 degrees and no snow whatsoever anyplace in Wisconsin.

30 years ago we would have had several snowstorms by now.

And sadly, doubters like to use similar (but opposite) "evidence" to disprove.

It's really about the entire Earth's AVERAGE air and water temperature changes.

2. Just Came Back From The Netherlands and Germany......

unseasonably warm weather in Amsterdam, Dusseldorf and Berlin. I took all the wrong clothes. People walking around the Christmas Markets in Germany in shirtsleeves and sweaters. One day in Berlin it hit 56F. I've been there around the same time in 2002 and 2006 and froze.

I do know there are a lot of ways farms can get screwed up by the weather. Too much or too little of anything, or things happening at the wrong time.

On a global scale, it is irrefutable that the world is getting gradually warmer. I don't presume to know the root causes of this phenomenon, but it's happening. Whenever someone says "It was colder/warmer in MY neck of the woods...", I want to punch that person in the nutsack.

Fact: The polar ice caps are melting.
I can't say WHY they're melting, or that we can do anything about it, but THEY'RE FUCKING MELTING. How about we pollute less and conserve more and see if that helps? This may or may not help, but the worst thing that can happen is less pollution and less waste. Why are people against this? (Answer: they're dicks)

Fact: The average global temperature is rising.
Sean Hannity keeps lying about this, but he's only considering the temperature in his own back yard. That (among other things) makes him an stupid hairy asshole. No real scientist who is worth a shit can pick & choose data.

Fact: Glaciers are melting at an alarming rate.
Look it up, dicks. It's happening. Again, I can't say for certain that we're causing it, but It's Fucking Happening. Maybe we can't do anything about it, but we shouldn't we at least try? At worst, we pollute less (a good thing, right?) and perhaps we can come up with some ideas for cheaper power that doesn't rely on the good will (!) of nations who don't particularly care for us.
