1. DU, hands down
The United States has been far more fractured and came through okay.

7. Hmmmm indeed. #2 is unusually stinky.

Yea, that's it.

4. Yep, I think DU is certainly fractured at this point.... And agree, much more than the US...
That is hard to believe considering we survived (I think) 8 years of Bush/Cheney....

5. DU
Most people don't give a crap about the stuff we get all crazy about. Trust me - I try and try and I can't get people very interested in what's going on around them.

8. Stinky. What is your solution (or even suggestion) to this country for
extracting itself from the ME?

Thank you.

9. Put our undies back in the suitcase and catch the next bus out.
The situation there is UNSOLVABLE through military means.

Trade the military boots for Peace Corps types with sneakers.

And diplomats. Lots of diplomats.

But get the troops the fuck outta there right now.

But what do I know?

I'm just a sad old man with a penchant for seltzer bottles.

11. Well, our undies are stuck between a rock and a fucking
hard spot. The situation was completely fucked up by the last administration. I don't know if there is a way to really get out of there without any political fallout. Yes "politics" kills our service men/women.

I really don't know either, Stinky.

Unfortunately, the peace corps, which should have been over there decades ago, will now be sitting ducks. During that time we were and still are supporting tyrants.

12. I'd say the US as a whole....
....but not by much....the day may soon be here when all sides will agree that the US can not be responsible for solving the worlds unsolvable problems....

....a protracted financial melt-down will help us unite and become more humble....

13. Definitely DU ...

I'm fairly well involved in local politics, but I have to come here to witness this kind of nonsensical bickering.

nice thing going on here until legitimate threads were easily buried..wtf ...i would leave in a heartbeat to find what existed here just two years ago..even when things were obviously worse with the guys in charge..but this is ridiculous...i now read the threads with the most unrecs..if i can find them just to get some semblance of diverse thought..why?
the country was fucked before but du was not..now both are fucked up

16. I want Fractured Fairytales
they could even make a few about DU or the current "political" situation in the US. (In quotes because it isn't politics, it's fighting over sandbox toys at the local elementary school. But that's nothing new, this is how we squandered majorities previously.
