What would Reverend Jeremiah Wright say about Obama now?
Not just "God Damn America"?

Would it be "God Damn Obama"?

2. Why would you care?
He would say...."That's White People for you!" when asked how does he feel about "some" in Obama's base dogging him about every fucking thing he does.

4. He famously said this in a sermon after 9/11.
"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye. We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back into our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost."

8. Are you now speaking for our enlisted men and women?
They may not find those reasons bullshit.

They may not have mixed up their wars,
like you conveniently have.

9. Our enlisted men & women get excited over any opportunity to kick some ass.
That's why they choose to join the military. They're among the most hypernationalistic, ultra-rightwing, war-loving Americans. They don't tend to be the most educated or thoughtful. Having a military is a sadly necessary thing given humankind's tendency to nastiness, but the judgment of warriors is especially suspect.

13. That's a good reason never to say anything, if you can only speak for yourself.

Fail. I spent my time in Uncle Sam's service, so don't give me sentimental claptrap.

14. it doesn't matter if you are a
Five Star General- YOU can only speak for yourself.

I knew- and KNOW several people who do not share your perspective - There are those who feel as you do, but your bigoted statement that everyone in the Military shares your view is just NOT TRUE.

It's not sentimental claptrap- its FACT.

good luck to you.

19. I didn't say everyone.
That is the tendency in the military. The combat arms of the military tend to draw superpatriots who like to kick some ass just as the priesthood tends to draw people who fervently believe in God.

21. Not many pacifists become infantrymen.
I said nothing more that should be controversial than observing that Utah is a conservative state or Vermont a liberal one, or that Russians eat a lot of cabbage and potatoes. God knows, though, there are doubtlessly shriekers who'd cry, "OMG what horrible bigotry, there are liberals in Utah and conservatives in Vermont and Russians who hate cabbage and potatoes!"

20. I'm more curious of what Louis Farrakhan might say.
Afghan pipeline he was winding up as some big conspiracy 8 years ago, not addressing unemployment (of non-whites or the general issue itself), and so on.
