This is offensive, but.... Thomas Friedman: 'The Power of Green' (global warming)
http://www.energybulletin.net/28602.html

Thomas Friedman is an idiot, and this article is offensive. The way he gloms his issues (flat earth, the conflation of progress with market values, etc.) on to the issue of global warming, his ignorance of peak oil in his considerations of global warming, oh, excuse me, "climate change" (Frank Luntz, eat shit and die; and don't reincarnate, you asshole), the very title of the article (!); all of it just makes my blood boil.

The man is way out of his depth. And as if he weren't evil enough already, his ignorance has the effect of compounding that evil. Opinion leaders have a responsibility to their readers to have a real grasp of the issues they present. For those of you who haven't thoroughly investigated peak oil, here's a hint: Society WILL NOT continue on as it is now, only with electric cars. Here's another: All alternative energy technologies taken together could not replace oil.

All that said, it is a very good thing that this will be seen and considered by those on the right.

I won't reproduce any of the article here. This is just for those who, like me, are obsessed with peak oil and/or hatred of Thomas Friedman.

Here's a response to Friedman from THE authority on the subject of peak oil:
