"I can see the Comcast Building from my office."
(sort of a 'tribute' to former-governor Palin...)

NBC's gonna change...

***************

Comcast is fascinating...very very quiet here in Philly, very philanthropic but low-key. The Roberts family has formed a dynastic entity - all are involved at many levels and it has been fascinating to watch the rise of the company. Extraordiarily powerful, you<'d never know that all this was being managed in the (for Philly) huge tower at 17th and Arch streets. I think they're going to change the nature of TV as we know it...my guess is that the notion of Prime-time is going to go the way of the Dumont network.[br />
I happen to have Verizon FiOS myself due to Comcast's lousy service and worse phone help line in my area primarily due to squirrels eating the wires at the boxes. A funny story for another day.
