1. Politically at home or events in Afghanistan?

Events in Afghanistan is an easy one to answer. It will return to the same corrupt and oppressive system it has always had. That's true whether we pull out today or in ten years. The corruption and oppression are still there, but they're somewhat restricted by our presence. When we leave has no impact on the outcome. It only determines how many more lives will be lost.

Politically is a tougher one. Obviously FOX would call him weak, pathetic, cowardly, and any other nasty term Ailes can come up with. Within six months, things would return to a normal peace-time environment and Congress might just be amazed by how much money we ARE NOT throwing in a sand pit each month. Then people can get on with really important things like which celebrities are getting divorced and what's happening in the lives of the losers on so-called "reality" shows.
