the president (Woodrow Wilson) nor most newspapers said one word about the disease. They heightened the fear factor by ignoring it. I think that these papers today are doing the same thing. We know something is happening and lying to us is not going to make us less afraid. Newspapers are going broke - could it be that they are losing the confidence of the people?
