RALEIGH, N.C. • In a video made two weeks ago but released on Friday, Sarah Palin said the United States should rededicate itself to seeking God’s will, arguing that a humble spirit could help leaders get more answers on issues such as health care, energy and national security.
The video was released Friday by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, the 2008 Republican candidate for vice president said, “No one person has all the right answers. It takes a united nation, and it does take godly counsel, and it takes prayer and answers to prayer _ and a collective humble heart of a nation seeking God’s hand of protection and his blessings of prosperity. I think if we can get back to that, our country will be a safer, more prosperous and healthier nation.”
The former Alaska governor referred to an Abraham Lincoln proclamation that declared a day of national humiliation, fasting, and prayer.
She said the United States has been “touched by God” because the nation’s early leaders dedicated the country to God.
“If we could get back to that _ that humbleness, with that kind of contrite spirit _ I think that we would be able to be provided more of the answers to so many of the great challenges that we’re facing,” Palin said. “And these are huge challenges, whether we’re talking about health care, whether we’re talking about energy independence, whether we’re talking about national security measures.”
Though the tape was released on Friday, Palin dined and prayed with Graham, 91, on Nov. 22.

6. ...by causing disembodied voices in our heads!!
Answers will "be provided"?!??? Really? No analysis, no problem solving, no other rational thought processes?

sigh ... This is why I left the church decades ago.

4. I used to respect Billy Graham, but no longer.
He agreed with Richard Nixon that "The media is controlled by Jews," lied about saying he agreed with Nixon, then when confronted with the tape claimed he "doesn't remember."

Not only that, he appointed as his heir, his viciously bigoted son.

And now he has a wondeful meeting with Sarah "Us Kriss-chuns is gonna take over the country!" Palin.

10. How come when nut case Palin
was the governor of Alaska she made numerous statements that there should be separation of church and state. And that religion should be kept out of politics. Hmm. Does it make her a better candidate now, to get all goofy religious. Cause "you know, like" that's what the tea bags want.

14. Dont need more Godly ,need a less greedy ....
America ! It seems that so many of our fellow Americians who have been very sucessful go biserk thinknig that their taxes may go up a little. These are not all of the well to do, with people I believe its not fair to generalize. However for the most part the ones I know who have plenty of $ do nothing except complain about our goverment planning on helping lift those who need it out of poverty becasue it will be their tax dollares being "wasted" on these "parasites" ! People find themsleves in situations they never thought they would be in ,homeless no future, depressed etc ! Would compassion and a helping hand do more for these Americians who find themselves in unbearable finiancial and living predictament much more worth helping then to continue a wastful war that spends muti-billlions of their tax dollares.Just what it cost to maintain this war one day out of the month could make a differance in many thousands of our people suffering due to the corrupt policies of bush and his greedy friends and bisnesss contacts !
IMHO ,NikRik
