Tomatoes can 'eat' insects
Garden vegetables such as tomatoes and potatoes have been found to be deadly killers on a par with Venus fly traps, according to research.

2. Well.. It IS a member of the Nightshade family...
When tomatoes first came to America's plate, there was much trepidation. They were also called "love apples" because some thought they had aphrodisiac properties.

In fact, tomatoes have referred to certain parts of the female body, tomatoes used in a vinegar tomato, basil and goat's cheese salad is one sure way to have your date invite you to bed,
