John Aravosis is hearing rumors that Gonzales might resign this weekend.

Let’s add another piece to the puzzle, via Bloomberg:

Gonzales Among Appointees on School Violence Panel

By Julianna Goldman

April 20 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush is naming three Cabinet officials, including Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, to study violence in America's schools and recommend ways to avoid tragedies like the mass murder earlier this week at Virginia Tech university, the White House said.

The two other Cabinet members are Secretary Michael Leavitt of the Department of Health and Human Services and Education Secretary Margaret Spellings.

....................

Could this be a face-saving move for Gonzales? That he tragically must resign his attorney general position in order to spend more time with his ... violence panel? Or not?

3. This is silly. Bush's putting this out early to show Gonzales is his man
and will continue to be his man, and that Bush is not buckling to pressure but will stand tall and firm against criticism. Bush is going out of his way to show everyone that Gonzales will not be asked to resign by this President. End. Of. Story.

8. Yeah, Perino and The C Student say Gonzo did a fabulous job
at the hearing yesterday. They are so proud of him.

Total screw-ups, all of them.

4. Now WHY in the world would lil al
resign and why would his best bud lil boots ask him to do so? They both have cushy jobs where they can travel on the taxpayer dime, stay at top notch hotels, eat 5 star meals whenever they want (even if it is only pb&J for lil boots).....has staff to do whatever needs to be done, doesn't have to remember anything (he has 'people' to do that), he can 'milk' anything he wants to pad his bank account under the guise of 'office furniture.'

Come on, he ain't gonna go nowhere...at least not by himself.

And I don't think ANY of them are going anywhere. Nothing is going to happen to Rover, Lil boots, dickhead, no-one. They will live out their tenure sucking whatever they can, whenever they can at no thought to what is correct or proper or compassionate.

Then when all of us think it will end in Nov 08, we will find out there is a national emergency which constitutes lil boots to invoke military law and cancel the elections.

If you want to place bets, I'd go with the latter rather than the former based on all the TALK going on in DC. So far, Sampson has not recollected, Lil al forgot who his staff members are and what they said, and it's just starting.

Until our Congress gets some f*g hair on their asses and some juice in their dicks and does something substantive other than talk, this admin and all its crooks - well, it's just another business as usual day and nobuddy ain't goin' nowheres no how.

7. Gonzales has completely disgraced himself.
If he had an ounce of self-respect, he would resign to spare himself further shame.

9. Yes. If he had an ounce of self-respect.
He clearly does not.
