Jane Hamsher over at firedoglake needs your help to fight TRIGGERS and support RECONCILIATION
(this is an action alert I just received that I'm passing along because it's just THAT important. i'm way broke right now, but i went ahead and sent $25 and it felt pretty damn good. plese give if you can -- thanks, brook)

Word on the Hill is that Harry Reid is trying to cut a deal for triggers. We need to raise $100,000 to make a big move against Harry Reid in his home state of Nevada.

Can you please donate $25 or more right now?

It's all on Harry Reid if the public option is killed. He has the power to make sure it passes using reconciliation for majority rule. If he takes out the public option, it's because he's too weak to stand up to the insurance companies.

More than 40,000 of you signed our petition urging Reid to use reconciliation to pass the public option, raising almost $40,000 to keep the fight going.

We want to ramp up the pressure on Reid, but we need at least $100,000 to do it. Donate now to help us make a big move against Harry Reid.

We're almost halfway there, and time is running out. Help us tell Harry Reid that if he can't get corrupt Democrats in line, he needs to pass a public option with a simple, majority vote. Please contribute now to make this message heard in Nevada. Click here:

Thank you for all that you do.

Best,

Jane Hamsher

2. People who support reconciliation are not educated about what can be passed with it.

Banning denial of care due to pre-existing conditions is IMPOSSIBLE under reconciliation. Without this ban, any public option that passed would go under within months due to a premium death spiral (or would have to also discriminate on the basis of pre-existing conditions).

4. At least someone is fighting for the people.
K&R ~ what a disgrace that the Dem majority people worked so hard for, continues to put a smile on Joe Lieberman's face.
