2000 - 3000 page Health care bill - WHY???

I still can't figure out why we need more than one single page dropping the age restriction on Medicare. OK maybe a 2nd page authorizing full funding of Medicare.........

Medicare (as opposed to Medicaid) It has some wrinkles, mostly due to under funding. These are easily amended with full funding

4. The number of pages

is actually misleading. The bill is prepared with wide margins and spacing for ease of reading. If condensed to regular type & margins, it would only be around 400 pages.
