Blackwater - DeVos family (Amway) connection
Many people know about Erik Prince and Blackwater and many people know about Amway and the Right Wing DeVos family that runs it.

But, not many people know that they are connected.

"Prince is the brother of Betsy DeVos, a former chairman of the Republican Party of Michigan and wife of former Alticor (Amway) president and Gubernatorial candidate Dick DeVos."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erik_Prince

Quite a coincidence, right?

1. That's one for those wacky "coincidence theory" nut jobs...
Those mercenary armies are a RW Praetorian Guard, and a threat to decent citizens everywhere.

2. 100,000 Plus Mercenaries...I Mean Contractors...
That what was mentioned on the Daily Show the other night. The guest (wish I could recall his name) said that its these people that enable boooshie to continue his invasion of folly and have led to the demoralization of the rank and file.

He also discussed what was mentioned here on DU at the time...and that was Blackwater's role in NOLA. He also went into a brief background of how the company came out of nowhere in the past 7 years...and is currently working on a $750 million contract. No surprise that the DeVos family is involved. They're longtime right wing, big time donors. I worked with a radio station that was affiliated with Mutual Radio when the DeVos family owned it (early 80s) and learned at that time was right wing nutjobs they were...on a par with Mellon-Scaiffe.

Hopefully Henry Waxman will expose all the dirty secrets here. We'd all love to see those no-bid contracts and all the signature on them.

Cheers...

:hi:

3. They almost had Michigan in their clutches
I don't think may realize what a feat we accomplished last November by keeping Dick DeVos out of the Gov's mansion. He will likely try again and I think he sees it as a way to get exec exp and run for Prez.

5. Just as I thought, he isn't done
We'll have to kick his ass one or two more times I think. ;-)
