The word "absurd" is one of the few words in English that is actually spelled just the way it sounds. No silent letters, each letter contributes its "usual" sound, etc. Yet this person, who clearly does not read but must have heard Rush or Sean say "absurd" a few times, takes a guess at the spelling (why look it up? They're conservative) and comes out with the bizarre variant "obsured", with its silent "e", potentially non-sibilant "s" (as in "sure"), and "o" used for a short "a" sound.

This person clearly does not know much about their own language. Duh! We already established that they are conservative (dictionary definition: "stupid"; or is it "ztewppot"?).
