No qualms about shooting their fellow countrymen and women like dogs in the street.

God bless America

KABUL -- Afghan troops fired on protesters in eastern Afghanistan yesterday, killing two people and wounding a third at a demonstration sparked by reports of civilian deaths in a NATO-led operation, a provincial official said.

NATO said no civilians had died in its raid in Laghman province, northeast of Kabul, saying its forces had killed seven militants and arrested four.

The Afghan soldiers shot at a crowd of villagers protesting against the attack, which President Hamid Karzai's office said killed six civilians, including one woman.

"Three people were shot. One died on the spot, one died in hospital, one is in a coma," the acting head of Laghman's provincial council, Gulzar Sangarwal, said of the demonstrations.

1. Interesting.
You honestly believe that we trained Afghan soldiers to shoot civilians?

6. Another BC oversimplification.
We trained them to obey orders, no matter how uncivilized those orders might be.

We've hired thugs to support the government we installed, just like in Viet Nam. They've killed civilians for protesting our occupation. We've gunned down our own civilians for doing the same. I have no trouble believing that they have found Afghanis that are vile enough to do their bidding.

Do you think they teach Civil Engineering at School of the Americas? Don't you think that some of the same instructors have been used to train the Afghani "Security" forces?

I know you're not that stupid, nor are you naive, so what's your motive for pretense?

3. And this will continue because
Afghanistan isn't truly a country, it's a patchwork enclosed by a meaningless border. There are no "fellow countrymen" over any significant spread of geography.

4. If this had happened in Iran our media would have played the video of this non-stop
Edited on Fri Dec-11-09 09:29 AM by NNN0LHI
And stupid Americans would have just ate it up. They would have been ready to invade and liberate them Iranians. And you know there is plenty of video of this.

But we aren't allowed to see it.

Bad for bidness.
