When China starts offshoring their manufacturing sector to Zimbabwe, the world will be approaching flatness.

We're getting close as India is offshoring some jobs to China.

4. Bangladesh and Malaysia have lost textile jobs to Namibia.

Ramatex is one example of an Asian company which figures Bangladesh employees cost too much, and has moved operations to Namibia. The world IS flat when a poverty-stricken mudhole like Bangladesh is too expensive for textile manufacturers, who set up shop in Namibia instead.

6. Globalization

As our ruling class creates a global economy, I suspect that U.S. citizens are going to meet the people in the developing world somewhere between where we have been and where they have been on the standard of living scale. I call it the peasantification of the working class.

That's why I don't worry about American businesses, only American workers. The economic elite have no loyalty to a place, a people or a nation. They do business and live wherever it makes the most sense for them. If our working class is destroyed and the United States becomes unsafe for the wealthy, they'll hop on a plane and become citizens of the next best or newly better place to live.

When we train the foreign military from other nations at Fort Benning, they all get a heavy does of Milton Friedman economics and capitalism to take home with them. That's why the military coup in Honduras was so easy.

Foreign policy, whatever the facade, always boils down to financial interest.
