Greetings from The War On Christmas

Just when you thought hostilities were subsiding, Fox Nation is escalating the War on Christmas. Their new volley of seasonal aggression kicks off with insinuations questioning President Obama’s sincerity with regard to his faith:

So the Obama’s cards don’t mention Christmas. Well, that must mean they are secret Muslim after all. Except for…..Uh oh…..

These are the “Holiday” cards sent out by George and Laura Bush in 2006, 2007, and 2008. None of them mention Christmas either. I wonder what religion the Bush’s belonged to secretly. I’m going to guess it’s the Snake Handlers. That would explain how they could work so closely with people like Cheney and Rove.

1. bbbut why would Obama celebrate christmas if he's a muslim?
damn, I wish they would keep their stories straight.
what is sad is that 35% of the people think FUX has it just right.

2. I guess that means
they are pretty sure the idiots that watch Fox news were not on the last President's mailing Christmas (er.. excuse me... Holiday) card list.

3. Yeah, somehow we were on the list that were graced with George and Laura's holiday greetings.
The absence of Christmas in their cards always amused us.

5. When I send out greeting cards to clients this time of year, I send
generic happy holidays cards rather than "christmas cards". We have lots of jewish clients, plenty of muslims, too, and of course christians of all persuasions and atheists. I have no interest in asking each and every one of them what their religion is so I can send the appropriate seasonal card, lol. Nor would doing so be seemly. People's religion is their own damned business, not mine.

And I certainly don't want to use a christian holiday to lord it over people of other religions, unlike the fundies.

7. Since Supply Side Jesus decided nobody was getting into heaven unless
they proved their street cred as nasty, bible-beating, hate-mongering crusaders.

8. When some direct-mail preacher
Cleared over a million bucks in a "save Christmas" mailing. My nitwit sister-in-law sent an e-mail about "mail-bombing" ACLU offices with Christmas cards. Makes me wanna declare on the side of the pagans. AFIK, demonizing the ACLU is part of the Falwell plan to trash the First Ammendment.

BTW - Snake handlers are Christians. 93 yards past batshit crazy, but Christian. And last I knew, they war'nt scared of an 8-day oil lamp.

10. He's a "secret" capitalist and "Christ-Han-Eid-Kwanz-mas-kah" is a Wall Street holiday
It's that time of year when we make them rich and put ourselves in debt.

Merry Christ-Han-Eid-Kwanz-mas-kah.
