I said I got asked about Wilson. I said what I was asked by the OVP to say. What I recall Libby saying to me, reiterated that VP did not send Wilson. Amabssador Wilsongot sent by his wife, she works at CIA, Works in CPD, I recall that he told me her name. This is hush hush this is on the QT.

Fl the news that VP had not sent him, it was the first time I ever heard it.

Fl I thought it was kind of odd. My sense was Libby was saying it was kind of newsie, no one knows.

The Counter Proliferation Division of the CIA has been extremely critical to our foreign policy since 1989-90, in particular. I think he's attempting to create the impression he's less aware of the critical nature of Plame's work than he was.

Nonetheless, he's provided another nail for Scooter's coffin merely by conveying Scooter's characterization of that bit of data while actually spreading it around. So, he's 'spinning' his own recklessness while surely screwing Scooter.

At no time after it was disclosed did OVP change its position that the talking points should be on the merits and there was no need to mention Mrs. Wilson.

11. Ari was talking about his impression from Libby's "hush, hush" comment/manner.

Ari didn't know who else knew or was stating or could state definitively that no one knew. Of course the OVP and Martin knew since they had gotten the info from the CIA. No contradiction with Ari's testimony. Ari's testifying to his impression from Libby's manner, that it wasn't common knowledge, not testifying as to fact of who knew or didn't.
