What a Difference Three Months Makes
Greg Sargent found a Connecticut Post video of a September interview with Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) in which he endorsed a more robust Medicare buy-in proposal than the one in the Senate bill he's now threatened to filibuster.

1. He did that only to sidetrack the public option. He never meant a word of it.
There will be a corporate giveaway by the Senate which Obama will sign and proclaim victory.

8. Yep.
We were played like violins.

When this bill is ready to go to final vote without a real public option or an expansion of Medicare, there will be Republicans wanting to vote for it because it will be such a giveaway to the insurance cartel.

4. He's just looking to hurt Obama and the Democrats in any way possible.
This is not about policy differences.

7. He's a selfish baby playing with people's lives.
Worse, he knows what he is doing which makes him malicious.

9. what joe lieberman thinks about is
joe lieberman

whatever works at the moment for him is what he'll say

he's a backstabbing traitor because he has no character

I have a distant family member like him, they'll say anything, no matter how untruthful, they'll use anything, esp. people's hopes and needs, to meet their own very self serving purposes.

11. Now, it's a little too close for his comfort -
time to show his real colors. I would sigh and say what were the people of Connecticut thinking, but I live in Tennessee (Alexander & Corker). No room to talk.
