The most important thing we learned today...
we don't have 60 votes. We never did.

1. A majority doesnt matter if the leadership is too cowardly to use it
In fact, I would say the minority has more power now.

4. I won' say "ditto," but I do agree.
We don't NEED 60 votes. We're still trying to be proper. We need to be like that British guy in Parliament -- just say "FUCK YOU!", get it done, and apologize for saying "Fuck you" afterwards. It is beyond me why Harry keeps thinking he has to placate the goddamn Republicans. THEY LOST THE ELECTION.

2. I would also say that even if we had those 60 votes...
They weren't paying any attention to us.

6. I think Harry Reid could have gotten Lieberman's vote if he threatened to
take away his committee chairmanship and a few other things. He didn't want to. The Senate really didn't want to pass a bill that could endanger their campaign contributions from the insurance and PhRMA industries, especially with many of them up for reelection next year so Lieberman's filibuster gave them the excuse that they needed. It's really callous and heartless of them. I hope they live to regret what they have done.

8. I think Lieberman's wife has more pull than Reid
And I would love to know what her bonus is this year.
