Holy Crap, People Are Morons
Today's Columbus Disgrace........er, Dispatch..........poll asks the following question: "Do you think the threats of global warming are real, or have they been exaggerated?"

64% of the population of Central Ohio say global warming is an exaggeration.

I swear, I really think the vast majority of the American public are too stupid to govern themselves. Heck, I think about 90% of Americans are so shit-all stupid that I don't know how they find their way home at night. I guess that's why GPS systems are selling so well.

Here's a link to the poll (and the comments are priceless): http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/national_world/stories/2009/12/15/hotissue15.ART_ART_12-15-09_A4_V8G0GSK.html?sid=101

Today, I hang my head in shame at the fact that I live among so many brain-dead zombies.

4. It is rather stunning, isn't it?
Last week I got my emissions test. While sitting in the waiting area, I listened to two men having a conversation about climate change. One man stated that the warmest year on record was in the late 90s & that that was proof enough for him that the whole global warming thing was a hoax. WTF??? His statement implies that he expects if global warming is true, then every year should be hotter than the last. :eyes: Obviously, this man has no clue about the scale of geologic time. This is what disdain for science has gotten us.

Virtually everything in politics is an exaggeration of reality. You ask for far more than you want, then settle on what you want. You do this because the other side is certainly doing it to.

Global warming is certainly real, but there is nothing wrong with acknowledging that sometimes in order to convince people of the truth, you have to emphasize certain aspects and play upon emotions of the people you are trying to convince. Its just politics.

Also, don't forget that online pools are worthless, are frequently ganged up on by special interest websites.
