According to this mindset, there are two kinds of people: really horrid persons, and Christians. I translate "your life must be fun and exciting" as "you drink too much, commit crimes, have sex with anything that moves including farm animals, do drugs, and in general live a truly depraved life." It's an offshoot of the old church sign "If you live your life as if there is no God, you had better be right."

I have come to the conclusion there isn't a God. If there was, he would have done something about Prescott Bush's business partners, caused the 9/11 planes to just fly to Lake Superior and ditch, and told the FedEx driver who hit me to look out the damn windshield in time to steer into the left lane. He especially would have done the last.

I think I would just email her back that the Reverends Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart prove believing on the Bible and praying daily do not necessarily make you a good person, and the atheist president Abraham Lincoln proves disbelief in spiritual beings doesn't necessarily make you a bad one. And then I'd kick back and wait for the angry reply.
