Global warming can not predict nor be predicted by an extreme temperature in any single place. It can be measured by climactic changes over a large region or over the entire earth.

I see all kinds of stories from the right about some town having a record cold day, with the claim that one temperature reading in Shit House Falls North Dakota or Pusyhump hollow West Virginia disproves Global warming.


Now, if you look at the entire winter across the North East and can show that it is warmer there than ten years ago, that is evidence. Unprecedented melting of the Polar Ice cap and the Greenland Ice Cap are both predicted and proof of Global warming, as is an increase in annual global temperature. Data that show the warmest years on record are occurring in the last decade instead of occurring at random intervals throughout the record are proof of global warming. Climate records, not daily temperasture readings are proof. Extremes in both hot and cold records at specific areas will still happen.

it will get warmer in places, but as polar ice caps melt, the temp of the oceans will start to fall, thus screwing up the weather and causing cooling and eventually an Ice Age.
