3. Actually, on Christmas Day, the daylight hours in most of the US

will have increased by about four minutes. That's the point of celebrations around the Winter Solstice. The days begin lengthening (in the Northern Hemisphere) and Spring is on its way.

Good reason to celebrate. So be merry, enjoy family and friends. Winter is coming to an end.
