You know those people who run in between cars at stoplights, selling stuff for 'charity?'

Well, today I saw what I thought was somebody doing that at a very busy intersection in suburban Chicago. He was flitting about, brandishing a sign, then approaching the drivers' window of any car that allowed him to get close. When I got up near enough to see what his sign was, it said "Obama SUCKS!!!," along with a nasty picture of him.

He appeared to be soliciting people; I saw him talk to two drivers, and watched him get to the car right in from of me. I took off my glove and readied my middle finger to show him I thought he was number one, but the light changed, the car behind me honked, and he scurried off to the safety of the dividing strip.

BTW, it was about 12 degrees outside, with a steady 10-15 mph wind frosting him to a faretheewell....really nasty outside.

I'd really like to know if he was trying to sell something, take donations, or what, but it happened too quickly, and with just enough of an obstructed view, that I couldn't tell what was happening.

Anybody else seen this sort of thing unfold?

I was very disappointed I wasn't able to engage this guy.

2. funny you should mention that; I was thinking the same thing as I typed it.

matter of fact, I've sort of been thinking along similar lines, but that picture really pissed me off, and I was hoping very much to get a chance to yell at him, or at least toss a bird his way.

Racist vandalism in small town of no more than 250 people in Northern Louisiana. Someone spray painted racist comments, specifically naming Obama as their principal target of hatred...

Noon Update: Racial slurs on Dubberly, La. signs


DUBBERLY, LA (KSLA) – We have continuing coverage on racist graffiti discovered in an Ark-La-Tex town.
Vandals targeted President Obama and the Dubberly, Louisiana police chief.
The "n" word, crude sexual references, slams against the President, and Police Chief Charles Mims: they were all over highway signs.}
"He said he pulled up there and could not believe what he saw, so he had to back up and turn around and look."
That's what Frankie Jacobs' husband told her after discovering the hateful messages.
