Senator Tom Harkin is trying too hard on TRMS and doesn't sound sincere.

He is talking too fast and glib, trying to convince Progressives

that a little something that Lieberman and Snowe like is better

than nothing. How can 1 senator thwart the mandate of a majority

of liberals? The insurance companies have no restraint from raising

rates. It is so galling to see Democratic senators being so spineless.

Does anyone remember Bush or Senate majority leader Frist worrying whether

they had 60 votes? I am so disgusted with this Congress. Can someone

explain to me why having a 60 vote majority was important?

I clung to those words - they kept me active after Wellstone died when I really wanted to throw in the towel.

It's hard to believe the man who rallied thousands of grieving people 7 years ago is the same man who was on Rachel Maddow tonight. Never once in the speech he gave at Williams Arena did he say "Admit you can never win! Roll over, cave in!"

4. Agree with you there. Did not look like or sound like the same man from

from Wellstone's memorial. From time to time I wonder what things would be like

if Wellstone was still alive. I am so convinced he was taken out. Maybe that knowledge

is why the other supposed Democrats won't stray too far from the box.
