During the incident, the priest's followers held signs, chanted anti-Semitic slogans and said they would not allow Jews "to control Moldova."

This great "controlling" menace amounts to a tiny minority of just 12,000 Jews living today in all of Moldova. Evidently these bastards think Hitler didn't make enough mattresses out of the Jews.

This event happened in Chisinau, originally called Kishinev, site of a famous massacre of Jews in 1903 - 1905, also led by priests. In the massacre the Jews were accused of using Christian blood to make Passover matzo, the age-old blood libel against Jews. (Blood of any kind is forbidden under kosher law.)

"Poverty made them kill 6 million Jews," blah blah. This was the claim by some when the Germans perpetrated the Holocaust. By that logic, everyone who is poor and hates Jews should be given freebies for their hatred. For the record, in the early part of the 1900s in New York City there were kosher food riots. Jewish women went out to the kosher food stands and dumped over kosher food carts to protest high pricing. But not a thimble full of food and not a dime was stolen. Not everyone acts on greed or a desire for money. There are lots of poor people in the world. Billions in fact. Not all of them decide to go out and kill 6 million Jews just because they are poor. By that logic everyone who hates Jews should be rewarded with money.
