Bush: "Our response to the Katrina recovery has been very robust"

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=7056082

President Bush speaks with Juan Williams during an interview in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, Jan. 29, 2007.

<snip>

Williams noted that in the State of the Union address, President Bush did not mention Hurricane Katrina — one of the most costly natural disasters in U.S. history. Mr. Bush said he felt past federal action, including funding for a recovery and rebuilding plan, spoke for itself.

"Our response to the Katrina recovery has been very robust," he said.

5. "Robust?"
:spray: :rofl: I know it's not a laughing matter, but really, what other response is there to such absolutely ridiculous nonsense? (Yes, I know "ridiculous nonsense" is redundant. I still think even that fails to convey the magnitude of "WTF?!" in Dubya's statement.)

7. Their response in squelching any recovery has been robust.
If you really listen Bush tells the truth often.

13. You know, that might be true
He didn't technically say anything about positive response & recovery, did he? (In my view, that doesn't make him any less evil, though. Doesn't change the facts.) :(

19. Truth by accident is no virtue. Just Freudian slips. The evil shines through.

8. Uh, many media sources would disagree...
Including the ones that openly promoted how corporations did what the government couldn't as means to hype up walmart, fed ex, and the other corporate logo on the big front cover...

I wish I had bought the mag as a souvenir...

12. Drive along Highway 90 from Ocean Springs to Pass Christian
and marvel at how robust things are. Then swing up to I-10 and head west to New Orleans and meander through Chalmette then head into the lower ninth ward and I swear to Jesus H. Christ himself, the locals are ready to drop everything and build a fucking 1000 foot statue to the fucking robust one himself.
