The Holiday shopping business must be really bad

Good fugging grief - why is Walmart advertising every fifteen minutes?

1. I will not be celebrating ANY THING this year- as long as our soldiers are being used this way

I don't believe any one in this country should celebrate shit
as long as we remain hostage to corporate interests that
USE our military for their personal gain.

2. Actually I've heard reports it's up this year. Walmart always advertises.

3. My opinion? Christmas music started Nov. 1 this year.

I believe 6 weeks of "getting consumers in the mood" was done to help retailers.

4. I expect the after-Christmas sales to do well.

I've talked to a lot of people who are giving money and gift cards this year, and of course those dollars will be spent after the holiday. I'm not buying anything this year. I'm giving my niece and nephew cash and I'm making peanut brittle for my parents. Well, I guess I'm buying peanuts. :P

They hate Christmas. All they want is your money.

6. Same reason Walmart ordered a ton of gift merchandise under $25 each...

... people are not spending, and they are doing everything they can to get them to open up those purses.

7. we are already done with ALL of our holiday shopping...

total amount spent- $30

nobody in mine, or my wife's family are doing gifts this year- with the exception of my wife's three nieces who are in the 7-9 year old range- she bought some jewelry for each of them...that's what accounts for the $30

We aren't doing gifts this year either. We went shopping for necessities in Florida last month. We'll be cooking Christmas dinner for friends and family.
