Why don't the Senate Dems try this:

They can present our bill--the one not all marked up by compromising and stripped of any real reform by "moderates." This bill will have the public option and caps and will force competition. All the things they hate so much. We tell them that they can support this bill on cloture and then feel free to vote however they like. We have 50+1 for the bill.
If they refuse, we tell them that the bill that will go through on reconciliation will be Medicare for all. It simply removes "under 65" from the medicare laws. Let them decide which they like more.

I am sick of everything good being pissed away by a few assholes. It is time to fight fire with fire. You can't win a war by putting down your guns to surrender before the first shot is even fired. It is time we let them know we have loaded guns and plenty of ammo.

2. Why do they get all of the bulldog leaders who will force contrition within their

party and get all the wimpy, cant-we-all-get-along-and-hold-hands losers for leaders? What the hell. The Republicans would never, ever have this problem if they had 60 votes in the Senate. Hell, when they had 51 votes (counting the VP), they didn't have this problem!

3. Republicans have party discipline and utter contempt for the rest of us.

Their constituency is small and obscenely wealthy; they can afford to fight the long battles, because money is the means to their ends.

All we have is us; we can win, but we'll suffer much more. When will we be up to that challenge?

They take pride in winning. I want us to be winners too. Screw all of the rest of it. I want to win dammit!

When so many make common cause with their class enemy, we have a long, hard struggle ahead of us to get them to even see that we aren't their adversaries.

7. The Democratic Party has been pretty much co-opted. Its progressive elements are out on the fringes;

out where we are, in other words.
