Cuz that's a pretty good list of Senate Democratic-supported reforms. I said "good" not "great" - but then, I have the perspective of history and the not-too-distant remembrance of George W. Bush (2001-2009) and his Congressional Republican allies (1995-2007).

So, a tip of the hat to President Obama and Democrats in Congress!

1. They know damned well and good they could NEVER get away with
the health insurance giveaways of a trillion dollar, like Obama is about to put in place.

Though they dream about the benefits of doing so.

3. This bill is one that the health insurance industry could only dream of passing.

It's the largest mandated transfer of wealth to private industry since the creation of the military industrial complex.

5. Who cares? They did not win.
The Democrats did. Do you think someone should tell them that?

6. they would have been more honest about stealing money from the american people
and giving it away to the insurance companies.
they would have just stolen it.

with this bill, its stealing money from the american people and calling it reform when its just stealing money from the american people just as the reublicans would have done.

7. I prefer to think things would be going differently under "President Clark".
Ya never know, tho. Maybe all the dice were loaded and it would have been the same no matter what (D) won.

9. I especially like the "reform" that allows the insurance companies to sell across state lines
That will allow them to move to the states with the least regulation and ignore mandates so they'll legally be allowed to cover even less!

We're being told that this will make for more competition and keep rates down. After all, it worked out so well for us when the credit card companies were allowed to move to states with lax usury laws. What could possibly go wrong with this?

So much for "keeping them honest".

10. Read what's posted in that link. What would a McCain presidency have supported?
(as well as a Republican Congress)?

11. Uh, I'm too tired to read.
But I'm betting just about nothing.

The bill sucks, and yet it is light years from what we have now.
