1. Sometimes, I wonder about the ability of those around Obama to
really do politics. I am talking Politics--nothing more.

Going after Dean--when you have Olberman, Huffington,
Kos and MoveOn standing just as strong--does not seem
too smart. Trying to discredit Dean is a losing battle.
People know him and have already made up their own minds.
Insult Dean and you upset his followers whose votes you
will need in the future.

The political mistake made by WH and Democrats on the Hill.
NO DEMOCRAT has been out there selling this plan from day one.
YOU left a vacuum to be filled on 24/7 TV Channels. The Republicans
filled that vacuum and got on TV and described your plan in
their terms. This is the fault of the WH and Democrats on the
HILL. The Result. The GOP appears much more strongly against
the bill than any Democrat is for it. This is not Dean or
any other Activist's fault.

You chose to do the usual number: Throw the Liberals under the
bus. Your calculation is --they are suckers, they will cool
down before the next election. They will be there for us. They
have no place else to go. It may just be that this was the wrong
time to make this move. The Liberals have had this done to them
too many times and they are not willing to back down and roll over
taking what crumbs you deigm to throw their way.

Most of you seem to forget we are in an interenet age. You can
no longer pull the wool over anyone's eyes. Information gets out.
Liberals are there waiting to devour it and use it.

This is meant with respect.

2. this is nothing new-party always has kept the left at arms length.
we are good enough to pass our lit but not much else.

The Party worships the Middle as if it were sacred ground.

Have to attract those blue dogs ya know
can't win without them.
go after the independents.....
blah blah blah.

I would say it makes me sick but my crapola insuracne will not cover it....

3. Even worse, they've greatly miscalculated Joe Lieberman's influence too
I can't get over the fact that the Administration is throwing Dean under the bus while effectively handing the HCR reins over to a man who spent the 2008 campaign season riding on Republican Buses.
