For all those who believe this is the best obtainable health care bill

I presume you wish the House to roll over and play dead, accepting the Senate version as written. Or do you think there is any possibility of improvement for the gem when it gets to conference?

4. This is my somewhat biased question: Kill it now or wait and see?

Wait and see what comes out of Conference and then decide if it has to be killed. Or do you see no chance of a final bill coming out of Conference that would actually benefit WTP (we-the-people).

6. I'd wait until it comes out of conference.

Best case scenario--bill fails on the Senate floor and Democrats get to blame Republicans for massive obstruction.

That would be the best time to kill the bill.

But, at this point, I'm not terribly picky. I just want the bill to fail, for the sakes of the American people and the Democratic Party.

3. I believe there will some improvements, but I'm sure not to the

extent most here want! I admit part of the reason I want this bill to pass is because I want to stick it to the Pubbies! Sometimes I can be qauite vindictive! Plus, I want Obama to be able to shut up all those damn talking heads who have beren saying "a whole year and he has NO WINS!"

I know it's not the what we had all hoped for, but even Teddy admitted later that he should have taken Nixon up on his offer rather than hold out for all he wanted. BC did that too, and you know what happened in both cases.

5. If it's the only one with the votes, then by default, it is the best obtainable bill.

That said, it's something to build upon, and the people who do get help from it will most likely be very grateful. As someone who has to suffer terrible pain every day because I have no coverage for proper treatments/no income, I know I will be.

8. Washington is full of cowards. No one there will stand up and demand

what is right. No one there will stand up and demand anything for any entity but the corporation.
They do not give a 'hoot in hell' about the people or the protected rights of the individual.
Slavery was the beginning of corporate fascism. Until 'corporation as individual' rights to lobby are totally taken away we have no freedom in America. It is freedom in name only. The pablum we are fed and expected to accept is all we will ever have until corporations, governed by federal regulations and requirements, are under the rule of the people. That is true democracy. The republic aspect of government is related to the individual relationship with the state representative in D.C.

HCR is a sham and a gift to CIGNA, AETNA, BCBS, Palmetto, Health America etc.
